cute amiguri crochet crafts and my fail

i swear they make it looks so easy in the videos...

this was made by a gurly guy, but the ice cream was cute!
i tried to make this icecream and failed... couldn't take a pic but basically it looks like  a pink octopus because i gave up after and hour and didt even bother to give it a face ):
