The 2 concepts of Red Velvet

I was surprised to find that Red Velvet is a 2 concept group. Red Velvet, if you break up the name into 2 words is red and velvet. Red= the sexy, and classy side, while Velvet= Cute and fun.
This now makes sense with their new songs Ice Cream Cake and Automatic. It also makes sense when looking at their older songs: Happiness, and Be natural. I feel like SM made a great bold move when making this decision and both the classy and cute side of their music and dancing work for both concepts perfectly. Alongside 2ne1 ad SNSD, I have a feeling that Red Velvet will soon become one of my favorites.

Also next time I go shopping for food, I will Automatically buy an ICE CREAM CAKE, and be filled with HAPPINESS, since that will only BE NATURAL, with all the sugar!

Let's talk about Pinnochio

I'm not talking about the wooden puppet turned boy.
We're here to obsess over the Korean drama starring Lee Jong Suk and Park Shin Hye.
This is by far one of the best dramas I have seen and with Birth of a Beauty slowly becoming less interesting and other dramas ending, it will no doubt be among the top crowd pleasers in 2015.

This drama at first is confusing and you really have to pay attention in order to understand the plot line because it provides the background for the huge "plot twists" and connections later on.

 

The story follows four young adults (okay I feel like I'm writing an essay now) that want to become reporters. Choi Inha and Choi Dal po- who later reveals he has another identity )Gi Ha Myoung, are the two main characters that fall in love ( typical romance develops with love triangles and other infatuations)

Oh yeah one important detail that basically determined the title of this kdrama is that Choi Inha (played by Park Shinhye) has Pinnochio Syndrome which means she can't lie otherwise she can't stop hiccupping. This becomes a problem for a reporter because her mom is a famous reporter that constantly exaggerates and even lies to capture the attention of the public.

 

Okay everything I wrote above felt like an essay, so let's just stop with the formalities:

if you haven't already started watching this drama, you definitely should because it is just way too amazing to miss. The only downside to starting it would be waiting for the episodes to come up the next week. But it is worth the wait.

Birth of a Beauty Kdrama Rave

This is an ongoing kdrama  and is currently in my list of top favorite ongoing kdramas (I'm watching 3 right now...but they're all pretty great)

At first when I saw the title picture and heard the name of the drama I thought "Wow this is going to be stupid and shallow" but boy was I wrong. If you have seen 200 pound beauty, it is kind of similar in that there is a fat girl who gets full body plastic surgery because of how she is treated. However this drama is a million times funnier and actually has lessons to teach, but most importantly you watch this fat-turned-beautiful-girl get revenge on her cheating husband. Right now at the moment I am typing this, there have been 8 episodes so far and I am crazy excited for upcoming episodes. This review may seem short and exaggerated, but I strongly encourage you guys out there to watch it. At least the whole first episode , because like most dramas skipping the first episode will cause complete confusion on what is going on.


Anyways, WATCH IT! The main male lead from Cunning Single Woman is in this drama and I love him and all the characters ( all the good characters that is).
